HC Blue 12 is both a secondary and tertiary amine. It is used as a non-reactive hair colouring agent (“Direct Dye”) in semipermanent hair dye formulations at a maximum on-head concentration of 1.5 % and in oxidative hair dye formulations at a maximum on-head concentration of 0.75 %.
