What is Levomefolate calcium?

Levomefolate calcium, also known as L-Methylfolate calcium or Calcium L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate, is an organic calcium salt of (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid. It is sold under the brand name Metafolin and incorporated in Deplin. It is a form of Vitamin B that is used to treat megaloblastic anaemia, depression, as well as renal and hepatic impairment.
