Mechanism of action
Pinaverium Bromide acts as a selective and specific voltage-dependent calcium channel blocker. By reducing inward calcium current and calcium inflow, it decreases smooth muscle contractions of the GI tract, thereby relaxing intestinal muscles and helps in relieving conditions such as cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.
